About Us
Safe IT is a junior company, founded by a first year science & technology student at the M'hamed Bougara Unversity of Boumerdes (UMBB), in order to participate in PHIKRA national competition in its first edition 2020. The company was created during the winter season. As a result, the team decided to make it an IT company that protects and saves lives from gas leaks of heating appliances. We have entered the Algerian market with a new approach to protection through our distinguished product "GASECURE" responds to the urgent need for safety.

The way we follow to challenge the present time, is to create products designed with high quality and aesthetics, easy to use and easy to learn. That is why we have invented the "GASECURE" device. This device is a small lightweight case that fits anywhere in the home. It has a carbon monoxide sensor. When the sensor senses gas, the device alarms so that the person wakes up from his sleep, and you can place many sensors in various places.

The project has many features and can be developed and expanded, it means the main device and it is the one that alarms. Other features can be added such as automatic valve closing, sending the message to the firefighters and cutting off the electrical circuit for the whole house.
Alarm
The device beeps when there is any gas in the house to alert the person who is there
Power Outage
In fear of fire and electric spark, the electrical circuit will open throughout the house
SMS Warner
If the gas level increases, the device will send a message to the firefighters containing your information and your location. If the person is not at home, it'll send an SMS to his phone to warn him
Valve Closing
The gas valve will shut off and close automatically to avoid all possible problems, while alerts remain

How much size of the device and its weight, and from any material
made?
The device is made of pure plastic, its size is 70mm x 25mm x 20mm and it weighs only 630 grams.

When the electricity is cut off, how does the device work?
The device is fed from the house's electricity 110-220VAC / 0.2A / 50-60Hz, but when the electricity is cut off, the supply will switch to the spare batteries.

What is the range of gas sensitivity?
The detecting range is between 20ppm and 2000ppm. When the gas pressure reaches 100 ppm, the device will ring with a gentle sound, and if the pressure increases to 200ppm, it will make a louder sound. And when the gas pressure reaches 1000 ppm, it will send you a message to warn you, and the electricity will cut off at the house with ringing. In the event that the pressure increases and exceeds 1200 ppm, the firefighters will be called and the gas valve will be closed.

What is the maximum distance the device can sense?
The device can sense the gas when it is 1 meter to 2 meters away. But it is better to place it near places where gas is used, such as a water heater or the like.

What are the working conditions of this device?
The "Gasecure" device works in all home environments. Temperature resistant and can work between -20 and 60 degrees Celsius. It can work in high humidity.
